有，在1960年代时，比方说 Wachenfeld [CR: 104-3]、Dwinger [CR: 103]、Wasmuth [CR: 104-2]、Schniewind [CR: 42, 42/1-2] 和 schmela [CR: 37/1-3]的人像都是受委托创作的。不知道为什么这种方式在六十年代很常见，也很适合我，因为这种方式让我暂时排除我个人的艺术偏好，让这些作品成为机会的产物。但最后我对这种创作方式失去兴趣。现在没有人找我画这种人像了，因为他们都知道：里希特不接受委托画肖像。
